Fun Day of Diving at Pearl Lake!
Pack up the scuba gear and head out to Pearl Lake on June 22nd for a fun day of diving, grilling, and meeting new dive buddies. Assistant Instructor, Sean Greaney, will be hosting an all-day scuba event at Pearl Lake. This will be a great opportunity for divers to meet other divers and enjoy a fun day of diving. The event is open to all ages, certification and experience levels. No Buddy? No problem, we'll get you set up with someone, that's the fun of going in a group.
Pearl Lake is located at 1220 Dearborn Ave / Highway 251 South Beloit, Il. for more information visit www.pearllake.com. We will meet in the parking lot at 8:00am on Saturday morning to get signed in and pay the park entrance fee. Then we gear up, do our buddy checks, and jump in. The park features several underwater treasures including boats, an airplane, a submarine, and a swim through bus. We will put together some fun activities including an underwater scavenger hunt. Since most of the fun stuff is within the limits of junior divers everyone is sure to have a good time. Out of the water there will be grills available for lunch. We are planning on being out of the water and all packed up by 3pm so we can get back to Sea Level Diving by 4pm.
All diving participants need to be certified by a nationally recognized scuba organization (PADI, NAUI, etc). We ask that children ages 10 and 11 be accompanied in the water by a scuba certified parent or legal guardian. For children 12 and up a parent or guardian must be on site at all times. Gear can be rented from Sea Level Diving on a first come first served basis. As an added bonus the rental gear is 1/2 price for the day. Admission to Pearl Lake is $20 per diver and $10 for non-divers (Nobody can get into the diving area without paying). Tank refills are available on site for $10 but they do not rent any gear.
If you are interested in going please call Sea Level Diving 815-479-0996 or register online. The event is limited to 10 divers so register early!
